188- دراسة استطلاعية: تقييم مشاركات الطالبات في منتديات النقاش الاكترونية من وجهة نظر الطالبات
A pilot study has been conducted at King Saud University to investigate the role of assessment in students’ learning from asynchronous online discussion. The study adopted a qualitative methodology to gain an understanding of the students’ experience. Data were collected through: online and in class observations, focus group and in depth interviews with the students. Two themes have emerged from the findings. First; Implications of the online environment: Offers equal opportunities, quality of the discussion, collaborative learning. Second them are: Assessment; it includes: assessment criteria, summative assessment, formative feedback from instructor.
