Sharing digital resources through repositories: making it work

Sharing digital resources through repositories: making it work
The natural inclination of teachers to use all available resources, to adapt ideas for teaching, and be as efficient as possible suggests that they will be willing and eager to share digital resources of many kinds through digital repositories. This is not always the case and in this session the Dr. Charles will examine the many factors that influence the success or failure of repository services. It is the emphasis on repository services that is vital. He will also examines three major aspects influencing repository service success:
• Business models
• Community dimensions
• Staff skills and competence
